Villagers not farming wheat

I have an automatic wheat farm with a villager with an inventory full of seeds. It worked perfectly when I made it in 1.9, and it worked as well in 1.10. But now I upgraded to 1.10.1 and 1.10.2 and the villager stopped farming wheat. The potato and carrot farmers are still farming, but the farmer meant to farm wheat just stands there idle. He is looking at fully grown carrots/potatos in the other farms, but he's not farming fully grown wheat, nor is he replanting on empty farmland. I respawned in new farmer villagers via both commands and spawn eggs, but if they are spawned in 1.10.1 or 1.10.2 they don't farm either. When I revert back to 1.10, the villagers spawned in 1.10.1 or 1.10.2 still don't farm. However, if I spawn a new villager in 1.10, it does start farming. So something in 1.10.1 and 1.10.2 is stopping farmers from farming wheat, and it affects the villagers as they don't farm anymore when you revert back to 1.10 either.
So in conclusion, only villagers spawned in version 1.10 or older will farm wheat in version 1.10 or older.

Unable to reproduce. Try waiting for a while. It takes villagers some time for them to plant things. Also, make sure that they are Farmers.

I'm not an idiot. Like I said the farm works perfectly, but when I close the game and switch to version 1.10.1 or 1.10.2, the wheat farmer instantly stops farming. When I go back to 1.10 and put a new farmer there he immediately starts farming.

And it's not 'a while' I'm waiting, literally half of the wheat was already fully grown and the farmer did nothing.

Confirmed on my end. Just created a farm myself, and the villager won't harvest anything.

Edit: Out of curiosity, did you use a specifier on the spawn egg to ensure it was a farmer? When I use a plain spawn egg, it appears to be working, but if I use a spawn egg to ensure it's a farmer, it does nothing.

Strangely, reloading the chunks appears to also work, but after summoning, he wouldn't do anything until the chunks are completely unloaded and then reloaded.

I have the same issue on a 1.10.2 multiplayer server. I created the farm in survival as I am not the admin on the server. The Farmer just stands there looking at fully grown wheat. He plants but no harvesting. Any survival solutions would be great as I can't use spawn eggs.

I created a new world in 1.9, and after the update to 1.10 I noticed that my villagers won't farm either, they plant crops but nothing else. Also they seem incapable of breeding. I made a new world in 1.10.2 (creative) and built the same breeder both under and above ground and it works like a charm. A shame really since I've built a lot of things in my 1.9 world.

Oh and I'm playing in singel survival

Farming has been broken since the 1.8 snapshots - the problem still exists in 1.14.4

That is 1.8 snapshots through 1.14.4 ALL have this bug.

If farmers get access to wheat they stop harvesting, crafting bread, and feeding other villagers.

They then ignore other crops due to FULL inventory slots with stacks of 64 seeds and/or wheat.

yeah I Have a bunch of wheat not being harvested :/
