Farming has been broken since the 1.8 snapshots - the problem still exists in 1.14.4
That is 1.8 snapshots through 1.14.4 ALL have this bug.
If farmers get access to wheat they stop harvesting, crafting bread, and feeding other villagers.
They then ignore other crops due to FULL inventory slots with stacks of 64 seeds and/or wheat.
This issue is NOT "resolved" and never has been!
Well that's a really sorry excuse.
Golems don't disappear when one switches to peaceful after being attacked by the player, or, when the player's reputation is low enough.
If I want unlimited sponge I could just switch to creative and back!
How hard could it be to have a setting in the chunk that would be set when the Elder is killed by the player?
IF ELDER KILLED BY PLAYER = 0 THEN ELDER = 1.
Otherwise EXPECTED behavior would be the Elders, like other mobs, disappear and then reappear when switching back to non-peaceful mode.
Since it isn't a boss then it should respawn.
Originally upon seeing this problem I did a search for "dark oak" and seeing that the bug number at the top was in the range of 4xxxx I was unable to see the recent ones (the expected behavior being that a search would order bugs in descending numerical order from highest to lowest or perhaps most recent to oldest). Because I did not see any bugs with "dark oak" having numbers beginning with 5xxxxx I ended up duplicating another report.
If you execute this bug with a villager you will get duplicates of the villager - the only way this seems to happen in the game.

I'm sorry to say but the bug has not been fixed. It exists in 21b as well.
With 21b I created a brand new map and I created three farms to see which village would grow faster based on the crops they planted and consumed. All three started off with the same conditions except one village got 128 carrots, one got 128 potatoes, one got 128 seeds. Each village started with 3 villagers: 2 farmers and one random one.
After the end of 36 Minecraft days we have a problem: the wheat farmers are jammed up again - when they harvest wheat they can't pick up seeds again.
In 1.14.4 Golems are spawning in farmland and it's really annoying - it would be nice to have a command to stop any certain mob from spawning at all.
