Happens most of the time, I'd esimate about 80% of the time. Tested on 4 completely different laptops, all WITH and WITHOUT mods (MCForge 1.10.2-12.18.1.2011, BetterPvP 1.9.9, XaerosWorldMap b1.1.1, Optifine 1.10.2_HD_U_C2) and still got the same result.

I can confirm this without LAN mode but i confirm this more of a lag problem that stays after you go to the menu. so maybe this is not MC-72943, if its not a duplicate, i can only confirm this caused by MC-11571 with the lag causing huge lag problems with the menu screen and taking a long time to save the game or not being able to save due to so much lag. taking a long time to save is probably intended or can be fixed to cause less lag.
After having this issue:
Please attach the complete output of the "Game Output (Your Minecraft name) " which can be found on the fourth tab of the launcher to this ticket.
If the launcher closes after game start, please edit your profile and select "Launcher visibility" then, "Keep the launcher open".
At any time:
Please force a crash by pressing F3 + C for 10 seconds while in-game and attach the crash report ([minecraft/crash-reports/crash-<DATE>-client.txt|http://hopper.minecraft.net/help/finding-minecraft-data-folder]) to this ticket.
When I said "freezes!, I mean it freezes for so long (left it open for at least 3 hours) orce close it. Ill post a log in a few hours, its too early for my eyes to look at a 15" screen (7:55A)
