Can't move items in my inventory

What exactly is happening?

I literally, can't click an item, and click a different spot to move it there. It isn't like it takes forever like in some of the youtube videos I googled. It's just there is NO way to move items, or put items in my inventory. (I can move items into my hotbar though, when I click shift and a number). I also can't get things from chests (because I can't click the items and move them into my inventory) or craft or smelt anything. Like I said, all of the videos I googled didn't help, I tried reloading, reinstalling minecraft, making sure touchscreen is off, nothing is working.

So what do I do? Any suggestions???? Is this an account glitch? Should I buy another minecraft account and see if it works on that? (I just don't want to buy another if it's gonna have the same glitch)...

What do you mean invalid server? Should I go on a single player world and give you a crash result?

No, I have touchscreen mode turned off. Like I said, before posting on here, I googled solutions and tried those, I made sure that touchscreen is turned off and STILL it isn't working. Do I need to buy another account? Some people were saying it might be an account problem...
