[MC-107018] Mac OSX Sierra Mouse Scroll too fast to be usable

When using the scroll on the mouse (Trackpad on MacBook Pro, Magic Mouse or Magic Trackpad) the items scroll through all the available option around 7 times per second making it impossible to select the item you are after.

Completely removed Minecraft including files in Application Support and reinstalled. Issue remained.

Confirmed. Also affects the snapshots. Does not seem to be affected by changing system preferences scroll speed.

@unknown, which snapshots did you test it in? It's needed to update the "Affects Version/s" list.

I tested in 16w38a. I imagine it would affect the others as ell however I am unsure.

I just updated my Mac to Sierra 10.12 . Now my minecraft does the same fast-scrolling thing. How is this resolved?

This issue is resolved as a duplicate. The main ticket, MC-42367, is still open.

Now that I am thinking about it, it might not be a Minecraft issue at all. I'm having issues with it in other Java apps, and it turns out this has come up in Apple's stack exchange.
