Crash when trying to place shulker box within the same block as a sign or piston extensions

Shulker Box Makes Minecraft PC Version Crash.
This is how it happens:

1. Place a sign on the side of a block,
2. Place a block right underneath the sign.
3. Have a Shulker Box in your hand an right-click on the block under the side.
4. When you do this you end up crashing your Minecraft.

PS. It doesn't break your Minecraft, it just crashes
