Well isn't amplifier 4 technically level 5? As amplifier 0 is level 1, the amp being an optional argument.

I do notice that if you set it to 3 or less, your arm swings faster, so maybe the arm is having to swing so fast that the game can't keep up.
Happens with haste amplifier 4 as well.
