Totem of the undying usage

I just went on the latest snapshot to check if there was any new stuff. I saw the totem of the undying and went googling what it did. Then when i knew what it did i took a few of them and put them in my inventory. I went in to gamemode s and went for some zombies. multiple can be used if you have low health.

What I expected to happen was...:What i expected to happen was that when one triggers the others wont be able to trigger before the effects have worn off.

*What actually happened was...: What actually happened was that when i was low on health and one totem used if the zombie/player get's another swing at you more of the totems is beeing used but the effect's dont stack so you basiclly waste more totems for the same effect as one. *
Describe what happened here

Steps to Reproduce:
1. 'Get a couple of totems like 4 in your hotbar.
2. Spawn a couple of zombies and type /gamemode s.
3. Let the zombies punch you and you ill probably notice it.

Comments 3

  • If the totem doesn't trigger when it should - you are dead.

  • You can die when the effects didn't wear off because:

    1. When you loose all hearts from absorption you still have this effect, though it's useless.

    2. Regeneration isn't fast enough to heal you up (so you can get more damage than you get healed).

    3. Regeneration doesn't work when you are dead.

  • "Effects don't stack" is just how potion effects are applied in minecraft - same with drinking the same potion or eating the same golden apple.

So, it Works As Intended.

Thank you for your report!
However, this issue should be closed as Works As Intended.
This issue is not actually a bug so you can continue Minecrafting

@unknown, your comment here is not needed - I already said it's WAI and your comment adds nothing useful.
