This issue is not actually a bug so you can continue Minecrafting
/msg and /w is linked to /tell
/tell is the main command
@unknown You can click *Edit* which gives you options for you bug such as Affects Version(s) etc.
I just checked , I can now say the wiki is not an official source but it should have one anyway

Yes this is a problem see http://minecraft.gamepedia.com/index.php?title=Loot_table§ion=5#List_of_loot_tables then scroll down to Vex. It is saying there is one.
This confirms Vexes should have one when they don't
