I was playing on a private server with some friends and while I was exploring the world, two things were happening. First, in all the Exterme Hills and Extreme Hills+ biomes I passed through, llamas refused to spawn, until I go below Y=30. Then, below that Y marker, llamas started spawning in the caves. Other mobs like chickens, cows, sheep, and pigs also spawned in the caves but they still spawned on the surface. On the server, it's completely vanilla, no plugins or mods.

The world is a default world, I don't have the seed because I'm not the server owner, and I can remember the coordinates right now but I'll try to find the place's coordinates.
You can always do /seed, even if you are not allowed to use commands. There are, however, some modified servers that won't let you use any commands.
I am not sure what you mean by that, but /seed is always usable, even on worlds with cheats disabled
As @unknown already said, we need a seed and proper coordinates before we can do any further research on this.
We did some further investigating in the area and apperently the chunks where the llamas spawned in the caves were corrupted and those chunks started to break the server by crashing it nearly hourly. We would have done more investigating but we just decided to reset the server and get a new world since the server couldn't run at all with those chunks and fixing the corrupted chunks would be dangerous to the world.
Could you please provide seed and coordinates for the position the llamas spawned? And possibly generator settings if it is not a default world.
