Flying on earth bug

When i fly a lot of distance using the new rocket based system, and flying aparently too fast, after landing i continue with active elytras on earth, and cant get down. It is annoying, i died several times because i couldnt stop moving on earth... Also, y crashed into a wall and didnt die, this bug must be the cause of it...
