I generally play in first-person view, so I did not notice this problem right away. Sometime since the Launcher was updated to version 2.0.x, my player model was reset from Steve to Alex. I want it to stay as Steve and made no attempt myself to change it to Alex. I also had a custom skin set and have lost that in game.
I've attempted both on minecraft.net and in the Launcher, to reset my model and skin. The website seemed to work, but did not actually update the in-game model. As you can see in the screen shots, the Launcher has my model set to Steve, but refuses to upload a new skin. The reset link in the Launcher also fails.
I generally use shader mods which don't change the player textures, and have tried loading with and without them, to no luck. There is no change in behavior between MC versions 1.11.2 and 17w06a.
