Blaze spawn frequency, invisible fireballs, possibly attack radius?

In the Nether, I have noticed some things about blazes that seemed to me to to have started in 1.11, I haven't tested older versions but the difference while exploring the nether now and exploring the nether before is like night and day.

Firstly, Blazes appear to be spawning way too many blazes way too fast. In fact, no matter where they spawn they can spawn in in groups of up to four as though they popped out of a spawner. This combos with the 1.8 AI changes to turn being anywhere within 50 blocks of a Nether fortress into basically an endless onslaught of Blazes.

They appear to also be attacking from a much greater radius than documented as well, and when they attack from a long distance while not directly in your FoV the fireballs will be invisible at times, leaving you wondering what even hit you.

i commented on this before and got ignored so here we go again: the main issue with blazes is that they can track trough solid walls, will completly ignore em and keep shooting and now the best point is that they can shoot eachother and cause an "aggrochain" wich basicly leads into you walking away 128 blocks+ bc its not possible to deal with it in any decent way... anyone who plays this game expirienced that before( blazes sitting somewhere trying to shoot the player even with blocked viision ,hitting eachother, becoming aggressive) So here are some solutions: make blazes not take dmg from blazeshots...fix the spawnrates ofc... fix their ai so they do only attack if in vision . i remember when blazes got changed to be social but i feel like ever since then all problems with it got completly ignored.... we had the same issues with pigman back in 1.7/1.8 where u had giant issues trying to calm the nether...

I see Blazes hit eachother all the time since they spawn in groups now, but they definitely don't take any damage so you must be mistaken on that point. Also, aggroing through walls is intended behavior if you read the 1.8 AI changes on the wiki, so that's not an issue. Regardless, your comment has nothing to do with this bug report.

youre right i just redid my tests and it seems like they got changed once again lol...
so they do not take any dmg from themselves anymore and they dont seem to aggro when not in vision either...i only see the current attack range a bit borked everything else is fine.. blazes always could packspawn thats nothing new.

I don't know why this was marked as a duplicate of that report, because this is about spawn rate and an invisible fireball glitch, neither of which are mentioned in that report. Did the mod just see the words attack radius and close this without reading it?
