No animation of placing blocks in the offhand when seeing from the 1st person, if the last block remains in the stack

The bug

No animation of placing blocks in the offhand when seeing from the 1st person, if the last block remains in the stack.

Related might be the fact that using an item/block which changes the contents of the current slot (may also be observed by drinking a potion in the main hand) or consuming the last item/block in the stack makes the hand empty for the entire duration of swinging/"bobbing" animation, but since there is no "empty hand" visualization for offhand, this issue happens.

How to reproduce

  1. Take any block in the amount of one piece in the off hand.

  2. Switch to the view from the 1st person.

  3. Put this block.
→ ❌ The swinging animation for offhand does not play.

Can confirm in 21w41a. The expected behavior would be that the hand animation is played when placing the last block in a stack if they're held in the offhand.
