When ever I swing my sword it BARLEY does it. I can spam click it and it only swings once every 5 seconds. This has been going on for the past year. I didn't think it was a bug for a while because of the update, but now I see others swinging there sword and it works with every click.
I've tried multiple versions of Minecraft on both lap-tops.
Edit It dose not do it in single player, It works normally. But in multi it does it.

Do you have any incompatible software installed on your computer?
Also, does this only happen with swords, or does it happen with any other item?

We do not have enough information to find the cause of this issue.
On a server this bug occurs on, please force a crash by pressing F3 + C for 10 seconds while in-game and attach the crash report ([minecraft/crash-reports/crash-<DATE>-client.txt|http://hopper.minecraft.net/help/guides/finding-minecraft-data-folder]) here.
Once attached, the report will be reopened automatically.

/help should bring back the Minecraft default, instead of any "Essentials" stuff.
it's one that doesn't have spigot, bungeecord, or any other special server software. In the logs it will say "Server brand: vanilla". They're around, if you know what to look for
