Occasionally, whether on the title menu or in game, the screen will freeze.
The game still runs, sounds play, menus click, window can be moved etc.
But no more frames,
Not 0 fps either, (waited forever once, it didn't ever right).
And if I try resizing the window the image just gets cropped off.
If it happens again I'll force crash and drop you latest.log and the report.
EDIT:
I should note that when this happens, it takes several minutes even an hour of run time, to manifest.
Dropping the crash report and latest.log...

If you are experiencing this issue, please force a crash by pressing F3 + C for 10 seconds while in-game and attach the crash report ([minecraft/crash-reports/crash-<DATE>-client.txt|http://hopper.minecraft.net/help/guides/finding-minecraft-data-folder]) to the report MC-124460.

I CAN interact with things, menu items, entities, blocks, sounds play, etc.
The difference between my problem and theirs is they can SEE things changing, "The food bar will degrade, chat will show up and continue to work.", I cannot see, I CAN interact, it is as though a screenshot was taken and pasted over the window.
These threads are fundamentally different.
