How to reproduce:

  1. Play creative mode.

  2. Open your inventory.

  3. Select the "Search Tab" (the compass)

  4. Search something (not a must)

  5. Click the screen.

Implemented at the exact same time as the fix for MC-121631, so almost certainly intended.

This is visual indication that the search text is about to reset.
