night sensors can work in the middle of the day when a block is placed above

Perhaps, this is intended? Because, A night sensor works when it's DARK, so when there is a block above it, the sunlight kind of gets blocked.This actually also works on 1.9-18w08b, this makes me thinks that it is intended

@unknown As far as I know, the night sensor is activated by moonlight, not by darkness.

It’s looks at the light level in general, not sky light, from my tests.

The sunlight can come in from the side though, making it not dark.

@unknown Ohh, that's interesting. Haven't tried that yet. Could be pretty useful for some machines as the daylight sensors are only activated by sunlight.
