Comparators don't recalculate output signals when side input signal is a 1 tick pulse

While trying to create a comparator not gate, it came to my attention that when a 1 tick pulse is pushed through a repeater into a redstone dust, and then is fed into the side input of a comparator in subtraction mode, the output is not updated. However, when you replace the repeater in the above example with redstone, the comparator is updated, even though pistons now have instant logic.

Seems similar to MC-6047, though not identical.

I think the problem here isn't the comparator, but the repeater. This pulse (when you have redstone wire instead of the repeater) will probably also be also be able to toggle torches for 1 tick.

Is this still a concern in the current Minecraft version? If so, please update the affected versions in order to best aid Mojang ensuring bugs are still valid in the latest releases/pre-releases. If this has been done, we can reopen the issue.
