When fishing, the bobber sinks straight to the bottom and stays there. You can still catch fish, but no movement of the bobber can be seen when you have something hooked as it is already at the bottom.

On Windows 7, 64bit as well. Also, the caught item never reaches the player, you have to 'go get it' every time.
