Pumpkin, melon or hay bales patches don't turn grass blocks underneath into dirt blocks upon generation

I have created that world in  20w17a, but at coordinates -259 64.64 252 there's no village. 

Updated new seed and coordinates in 1.14+ villages.

Relates to MC-174164 and that one old large oak tree bug

Can confirm in 1.19.2.

I cannot reproduce this in the latest version, 1.21. When finding these features, they properly convert the grass blocks beneath them into dirt.

Tried another world and still cannot reproduce it:

The grass did take a long time to convert, but it did eventually do so. This can be observed using /tick sprint.

@@unknown, this is a world generation issue.

Based off of the original title and description alone, I was unaware. I had the impression this was to do with general conversion of the blocks at all. Regardless, thanks for letting me know and apologies for the faulty CR resolution.
