particle crash

So when I used this command:
/particle flame ~ ~ ~ 0 0 0 1 1000000 normal @a,
it crashed my game completely!
I need help!

That's quite a lot of particles. Doesn't crash my game, so this ist most likely related to the processing power of your device. I'd recommend not summoning that many particles.
