I encountered this bug with a drowned zombie in Survival (1.3 pre-release) wearing a partially enchanted full set of golden armour. At first it freaked me out (I even checked my sanity), but then I sort of hoped that it was a special spawn due to the enchants (like a boss). I successfully recreated this in creative mode, and honestly, I kind of hope that it remains a feature because it looks cool. It's like a weird enchanted drowned.

This can be recreated by spawning zombies with a spawn egg or by using /give (playername) minecraft:mob_spawner and let the zombies spawn naturally in hopes of one spawning with enchanted armour. Random (RNG) zombies will pick up armour off the ground if they detect a player or a villager nearby. Once one or more zombies are wearing enchanted armour, you need to drown them to see the effects of this "bug". Any article of enchanted armour seems to have this "enchantment" effect that turns the drowned zombie purple and goes away as soon as the enchanted armour pieces are broken.
