I don't think that's the way it's supposed to be. It's a little bit in the shadow of the vertical line on the left.

No, @unknown, it's certainly not a dublicate. MC-132639 reports some really bad shapes of some characters, while this is a direct effect of MC-132736 seen in the vanilla font. It's a subtle, but valid issue. The problem is that the tail of the capital ß shows a tiny deviation from the vanilla 7x5 pixel shape, causing a visible artifact. Added a zoomed-in version of the image provided by FlubberFrosch where the artifact is better visible and a screenshot of the letter outline displayed in Fontforge, where the problem is clearly visible too. Should be an easy fix for Mojang, just two vector points to move a bit to the right ...
About 88 chars from that font are wrong in some way, I'm attempting to find a way to suppress them or overwrite them.
