[MC-133364] Double Chest From 1.12.2 Divides Into Two Chests After Upgrading to Minecraft snapshot 17w47a

When upgrading a survival world to 1.13 snapshot 17w47a a double chest divided into single chests, with the illusion of a double chest leading into a single chest.
Opening the chest from the left side causes the entire double chest lid to open, but opening the chest on the right side will cause only the right side of the lid to open.

Yes. It has been there since 17w47a.

Does it happen when you upgrade your original 1.12.2 world directly to 1.13 pre-7?

But that happened from 1.12.2 to 1.13 pre-7? Or there was a snapshot inbetween?

Compatibility between snapshots is not guaranteed

Mojang did say that 17w47a was a pretty unstable snapshot though.

In once case a normal chest tried to connect with an ender chest and failed, with the aftereffect of a double chest leading into an ender chest, yet acting like a single chest

This bug has still not been fixed for me.
