Gravity-affected blocks broken when falling into an invalid space do not make a sound or produce particles

When something is sand is dropped onto a torch, the sand will break, but no particles are produced, as one would expect from a block breaking. Also note the lack of a "Block broken" in the subtitles, signifying that this also produces no sound.

This issue is not present with suspicious sand or suspicious gravel. This bug is also not present in the Bedrock Edition.

Can confirm in 1.19 and 22w24a.

Surprisingly not fixed in 23w07a despite suspicious sand having a dedicated breaking animation when falling.

This issue is not present with suspicious sand or suspicious gravel.

Because those actually break;they do not "pop" into item form. The title should be modified to clarify that.
