When player is "holding" the Leash it doesn't Connect with him

The leash on the player's end doesn't connect with the hand or body, but ends at a point above and to the right of Steve's shoulder.

happens both in 1st and 3rd person mode

This same problem occurs with wolves/cats/pigs. The lead doesn't attach to the mob, but "hovers" over their head (as if it were a horse).
