The bug

Falling blocks, such as sand or gravel, float on snow layers > 1 instead of dropping as item or replacing them, see also MC-99244.

How to reproduce

  1. Place at least two snow layers on top of each other

  2. Let a falling block, such as sand, fall on top of it

Seems to be fixed in 19w06a alongside MC-90523. The falling block now replaces the snow layers.
