5x5 huts seem to let mobs reach villagers from the outside. mobs can hit them through the door or the corner that has diagonal blocks.

I checked it out and I don't believe the issue is the attack radius since changing the attack radius might break other game functions. The buildings just seem to be too small or there is something wrong with how attacks don't see a block and get through diagonals.

This needs to be reopened since the way certain villages are now structured, it forces some villagers to remain on the outside at night leaving them vulnerable to zombie attack. Probably will need to change the description of the bug though but it is the title is the most accurate way to describe what happens.
