Is this really multiple bugs? Seems like this report focus on design flaw of new villages as a single topic. I have seen this issue a lot myself and feel that the new village houses and especially the ones with double doors that villagers leave open so zombies walk in and kill them in beds are not helping the game.
I've added some pictures of the water before it actually stats flowing that show more examples of the generation on slopes and the relation to MC-140619.
I don't believe so, this can occur when the slope is only decreasing by one block and occurs often in village gardens.
Yeah the problem seems to be with the new houses.
It seemed to me that the bug was how the structures generate. I did not intend to report multiple bugs.
I checked it out and I don't believe the issue is the attack radius since changing the attack radius might break other game functions. The buildings just seem to be too small or there is something wrong with how attacks don't see a block and get through diagonals.
The villagers can also be damaged through diagonal wall spaces of the new huts usually ther 5x5 ones. appears in 18w50a
Took me forever to find this, but yes I've been seeing this so much, and I notice that the villagers most of the time are not shutting the doors because they jump into bed before triggering the door to close. I really hope this observation helps because i've been looking for the report that everyone is actually following. to resolve this i think that prioritizing door shutting maybe with a pre-check to getting in bed could be done then villagers would check for open doors before sleeping.
