Me and my friend played snapshot 13w16a on a server. We found a bug:
There is a bug with the items in hand. when we place blocks it puts a random items in our hand Like a sword or shovel. Also sometimes when we try to mine something with a pickaxe it doesn't show anything in our hands.

Simplifying this ticket to the most prominent of the multiple bugs posted here. It is much easier for us to deal with bug reports when they contain only one bug. Feel free to create new ticket(s) with additional bugs.

In the future, please put each bug in a separate report. I don't know about the first bug, but the second is a duplicate of MC-13628. Please use the search function to see if your bug has already been submitted. Currently over 52% of tickets are being closed as duplicate.
