New xp sound

That's a feature of the game and has been there since the 12w38 snapshots.

But thers a new xp sound . i hear this since this snapshot, not before.

Actually, I hear it too. I looked in my music editor, Goldwave, and noticed that they do not match. The new sound seems sped up or edited to be "shorter", I dunno if this is intentional or not but it is different somehow.

The new sound is in .minecraft\assets\sound\random\levelup.ogg , the old one is in the .minecraft\resources\newsound\random\levelup.ogg if you wish to compare yourself.

Although it isn't a big difference it is noticeable, just saying!

Is this still a concern in the current Minecraft version? If so, please update the affected versions in order to best aid Mojang ensuring bugs are still valid in the latest releases/pre-releases.

As far as I can tell, yes it is, in 13w17a as I type this.

That's no bug.
