I have a big building with all the workstations in it, and some villagers decide to work on the wall (video below) (the workstations are on the other side of the wall).

Yup I have tbis same problem, and I recently ran into the barrel problem as well when I crashed your game
I can confirm this for 1.16.5.
It seems to happen if a workstation is placed in a diagonal wall, the villager working at the workstation can work at the workstation when standing on the other side of the diagonal wall.
They do this all day...
