Player head blocks show outer layers even if turned off

Even if the hat, sleeve, trouser, cape and jacket layers in the "skin customisation" settings are turned off, player heads as blocks or items still show them.

Example command: /setblock ~ ~ ~ player_head{ExtraType:"Xisuma"}

I used the command in the description with your name and it was black. I changed it to my username and it appeared as it should. Are you sure this is not a problem with your skin?

Indeed I made changes to my skin recently, but I just downloaded the image file from my second account (where everything is normal), changed the front of the head in Paint and uploaded it again.
I've now attached a video showing the bug and also that it works just fine on the player. So even if there's something weird with the skin (it shouldn't), then there would still be a bug.

I checked your skin via a skin stealer, and it appears that your skin is entirely black. Something is wrong with your skin.

I forgot that Paint doesn't support transparency, so the background is black. If anything, the outer head layer would be black, because I didn't use that. But then I should also see it on me, I don't think I disabled that setting. And even if I did, it should also be disabled on the skull, right? I'll look at the inside of it in 12 hours or so.

Anyway, my skin is not completely black: https://textures.minecraft.net/texture/256bd2947a3384319fbdac6b42826b75706ea897e8bd12dbfa154cddec5cb668

These layers were actually disabled for some reason and the skull did show it anyway, that was the cause. I'll edit the report accordingly. Thanks for the help!

The outer layer of your skin IS completely black. You need to have transparent pixels in those spots. Black does not get hidden.

What, still? I changed it weeks ago. Maybe you're encountering MC-146631? Try closing Minecraft, opening it again, making a new world without joining any old world and then use setblock ~ ~ ~ player_head{ExtraType:"FaRo1"} again. It should be a proper head. I also changed this report weeks ago to reproduce it with a head with proper layers.

Can confirm in 1.19.4
