[MC-150243] Minecraft making no sound at ALL

Sound doesn't work and while walking in F3 I noticed that the sound label stayed at 0 even when next to mobs. I tried F3 + T and it did not fix the issue.

To clarify, all sounds are affected, not just new sounds from 1.14?

I just recently updated java to version 8 update number 211 and tested for the sound again. 1.13 still has sound but 1.14 and both pre-releases still have no sound.

I have this issue, but I found that the last version that worked was 1.13.2 and the last snapshot that worked was 19w05a. Version 19w06a to 1.14.1 there is no sound at all.

I also just tested all of the 1.14 snapshots had sound along with 1.14.1

I have this exact same problem my java version is 8 and number 211. ALSO my sound label also said 0, but in older versions the sound works just fine.

It appears that version 1.4.3 pre-release 2 fixes my issue of no sound. This is only this version since 19w06a broke it. I see no mention of the fix in the change log for 1.4.3-pre2.

That's quite likely, as 1.14.3-pre2 updated the version of LWJGL that Minecraft uses.

I have a problem with Minecraft Java 1.14.2. I can hear most sound from the game but stuff like item's burning in lava, and rain sounds don't seem to work, even though I have and my sounds up.

hey im still having this issue! when i press f3, the sounds bit says 0/0 + 0/0 no matter where i go or what i do. subtitles also don't work n all. would love help on this as i've reinstalled minecraft and tried renaming options to options_old n all that
