[MC-15061] Coal blocks do not burn away

Coal blocks do not act as "flammable blocks" like logs, planks, fences, wool blocks, ...
I expected coal blocks to burn away and setting surrounding blocks on fire after igniting them. Nothing happend instead.

There is already a seperate hay block ticket. Also make sure to check out the "fix versions".

Yeah, the "fix versions" tag says 1.6, but this bug is also listed on mojang.com in the "fixed bugs" list of 13w18c and Grum said it's fixed, so I presume coal blocks should burn in 13w18c ! Something's wrong here ... did they try to fix it in 13w18c and failed or is it going to be included later as the "fix versions" tag says?

hm... the coal block just don't want to go way... now, i have noticied something: you cant put fire on the side of the netherack... is that a bug? i don't know if netherrack can be considered "flammable"... (sorry for my bad english, i'm from brazil)

If netherrack would be burnable the whole nether would go up in flames.

i think because of the non-stoping-fire propertie of netherack you supposedly should can put fire in the side of netherack, but i don't know, i think this is more like a feature request than a bug =P

Can i burn itens with coal block?
I didn't download 1.6 'cause i'm playing with my friends every day, and they don't have 1.6 and don't want this.
So, someone can tell me about "coal block?"

I liked this, 'cause sometimes we have so much coal and we have no place to store it =p

Anyway: Yup, coal blocks can burn things in fournaces, but if you put one in the world and put fire in it using a flint and steel, it will not go away. Sorry for my bad english, as I have alredy said, i'm brazilian.

@Igor: The snapshots aren't being released as a .jar anymore, you just have to download the new Minecraft Launcher (in development), select the snapshot you want, then play.
