Summary: jack-o-lanterns placed high above ground might not shine after game loaded/sunrise events, unless player approaches them close enough.
Longer description: in a superflat world:
seed: -7038726043301780200
world options: 2;7,33x1,2x3,12;2;stronghold,village,biome_1,decoration,dungeon,mineshaft,lake,lava_lake
there are desert temples rising high above the ground. I have replaced the orange cotton blocks atop a temple with jack-o-lanterns.
Problem (see attachment): when sunrise/game loaded event happens, the jack-o-lanterns on the south side (see the attachment; the character is facing south; the facade of temple faces west) do not shine.
When player approaches the lanterns (approx. 22 blocks or closer), the jack-o-lanterns 'turn on' and resume shining.
Other walls of the construction, where jack-o-lanterns are inserted, do not exhibit this behaviour.
Numbers:
ground level: y = 37
height at which (or above) jack-o-lanterns turn on: y = 59
the lowest cotton block was at y = 67
Thanks.

Is this still a concern in the current Minecraft version 1.6.2 / Launcher version 1.1.3 ? If so, please update the affected versions in order to best aid Mojang ensuring bugs are still valid in the latest releases/pre-releases.
