Pickaxe Mending not working

How is it "not working"? Do you wear armor that has Mending on it?

the Diamond Pickaxe with mending does not mend when gaining XP!! Yet all Other Diamond tools and weapons including armor do mend as normal!

Check if your pickaxe has mending on it. And note the odds to mend are reduced the more mending items you wear.

Remember that you need to have the pickaxe in your hand or secondary when picking up xp. If you are not holding it at all it wont mend. also if any other item that your holding has mending(armor or item in hand/secondary) then it will randomly pick one item per xp orb to try and mend, if that item is at full durability then the xp goes to your xp bar, if not then it will mend the item, it is completely possible for you to not mend a item your holding when killing mobs if you have multiple items with mending. if you have armor with complete mending and a sword in hand with the pickaxe in secondary then there is about a 17%(1/6) chance that your pickaxe will be picked each xp orb. 

Can you provide a video evidence of this bug?

Also with F3+H to show durablility of pickaxe as a number when hovering mouse cursor over it.

Once again all my diamond armor have mending and work fine, all the tool have the same but the pickaxe does not mend! No mater the HAND or the XP I gain

I experienced this bug today, mending pickaxe in hand, picking up XP doesn't repair the pickaxe.

I fixed it by restarting my game, and now it works fine.
