OS X: Mouse Wheel raises view

Solved by installing OS X 10.9 (Mavericks)

Scrolling around the hotbar was performing oddly.

When I scrolled with my mouse wheel or two fingers with my touchpad, I expected just the selected hotslot (on hotbar) would change.

When I scrolled with my mouse wheel or two fingers with my touchpad, not only did the hotslot change but also my view "scrolled" up and down or left and right if I scrolled left and right on my trackpad.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open a minecraft world
2. use a trackpad or mouse wheel to change the selected hotslot

For me, the view moves but the hotbar does nothing. Never mind, my trackpad isn't currently working.

Okay, fixed it. Everything is working normally for me.

Confirmed, weird behavior seems like a LWJGL bug.

Same bug for me as well. ๐Ÿ™‚

It is still a bug as of 1.6.2

Same Bug on OS X 10.7.5. Seems that the multitouchmouse (magicmouse from apple) is recognized as a touchpad. But Touchscreenmode is OFF

I also noticed it raised my view when I used my Logitech mouse for my Mac with TouchScreen Mode off.

same on OS X 10.9 (13A524d) on Minecraft 1.6.2

LWJGL already fixed the issue in a nightly build, waiting for an actuall release: https://github.com/LWJGL/lwjgl/issues/42

Has there been any fixes/updates to this? I've been on 1.6.2 and it updated recently again and I came across this problem for the first time. I am using a magic mouse from apple. The link above just says it will be fixed over a month ago.

I'm guessing that nightly build of LWJGL has been made into a stable release yet, or Mojang has not pushed it to the launcher.

This seems to be an OSX problem. I switched from using the Magic Mouse to a Razer Taipan and it made no difference with the scrolling. And it works perfectly fine on my Windows computer.

Is this still a concern in the current Minecraft version 1.7.2 / Launcher version 1.2.8 ? If so, please update the affected versions in order to best aid Mojang ensuring bugs are still valid in the latest releases/pre-releases.

Does updating to OS X 10.9 (Mavericks) resolve the issue ?

migrated

Yes. This issue has been resolved with the OS X 10.9 update, running Minecraft 1.7.2/ Launcher 1.2.8. Thank you for your continued support.
