A really nasty Java bug......

When I opened MinecraftDev.exe,it said that "The Java Virtual Machine Couldn't be created',then "A fatal error has occured" under it.Then I tried Minecraft.exe, and behold, the same error message accompanied by the Windows error SFX.I procceded to delete Java from the Control Panel, then I re-installed Java.I just got Minecraft to work last weekend, and this is a real shame to wake up to play Minecraft and to have this rain on my parade.

What version of java do you have installed? It just looks at the default location for any version that is 1.6 or higher.

Open a command (Start -> cmd) and type java -version:

C:\Users\kumasasa>java -version
java version "1.7.0_21"
Java(TM) SE Runtime Environment (build 1.7.0_21-b11)
Java HotSpot(TM) 64-Bit Server VM (build 23.21-b01, mixed mode)

didn't know where else to go,and this issue isn't covered in the support center.....and its Java 2 Update 21

i know this is a technical problem and shouldn't be posted here but I know of only one actual solution its not the best but you know where you can allocate more ram in the new launcher well the box that you check to do so cant be marked so you have to unmark it anything else marked is fine the only annoying thing about it is that you are limited to 1G of ram and can never change it from that because if that box is mot marked it always resets to 1G
