Falling from a height still plays damage sound/animation even if all fall damage is negated by Feather Falling

Since no damage is being actually taken, shouldn't the sounds and animations just not play in these cases?

This is not a bug, you actually do get fall damage. Example: Feather falling 4 diamond boots, fall from 4 blocks height, health goes down from 20 to 19.64. It's just not visible, because the health bar rounds health to the nearest (or next highest?) health point.
