If a texture has an animation, it completely ignores the timings set on it's .txt file. For me anyway.

Yep, the game ignoeres the text files containing the animation properties ... affects all animations and all texturepacks !
(btw, I think all this "relates to" stuff linking to open issues saying "lava blabla too fast, very weird" is a bit chaotic ... better mark them as duplicates and focus on this one ... it's all the same bug, lava is just one of several animations not working properly because of MC-16142!)
This can be marked as "fixed" too (see MC-16149, comments ...)

Sorry for the duplicate bug report... this one was hard to search for... I'm making a youtube video of this bug that you can put on here.
funny thing is, since the screwed up the fire animation by putting the fire's txt numbers wrong, this actually fixes that while screwing up another thing
Because it is a hassle to make all the issues marked as a duplicate of MC-16149 a duplicate of this ticket.
Please do not mark issues as private, unless your bug report is a security issue containing information that may compromise your server/client.
