If you get an enchanted sword with sharpness, it doesn't show the extra damage that can be dealt by sharpness.
That affects to smite and bane of arthropods too, but it should specify to which mobs it deals the extra damage.
I think this is a bug, tell me if it isn't.

Yeah I had a lot of screenshots about that bug. Forgot to upload them xP
By the way I read my mail, and I though you were gonna set this bug report as invalid, so I was gonna explain you what it should be.
The extra damage from Smite, Sharpness, and Bane of Arthropods is random each time you hit, so I'm not sure it could just be added into the damage attribute. I suppose it could show a min-max damage, but that might be confusing because it would only work on certain targets.
It would be nice if there was an in-game notation about what kind of monsters they apply to, or what the damage range is for that level of the enchantment is, however.
Still does not show bonus damage in the most recent 1.6.2 patch and 1.2.1 launcher.
Is it really supposed to, though? I'd like it to, don't get me wrong.
wow the title of my bug report modified. Some details at title went away. And yeah, it could be the min-max damage it can deal, and if it's Smite or Bane of Arthropods, it could specify against which mobs that enchant deals the extra damage.
Confirmed.
The tooltip shows only the base damage.
