Sticky pistons pull honey blocks

With the recent change to the interaction between honey blocks and slime blocks, if honey and slime are now designed not to stick to one another, then it is inconsistent for sticky pistons (which use slime) to stick to honey blocks. The expected behavior is for honey blocks to not be retracted along with the sticky pistons, for the same reason that honey blocks do not stick to slime blocks. These inconsistencies and errors in design should not be allowed simply to appease the masses, and this should be treated as equally as any other bug would be.

Well... As far as there are no honeyed pistons, I think this should be a thing. Even if there were ones.

It's inconsistent behavior, making it a bug. It would also mean there's no actual internal logic behind the behavior at all, as it would work sometimes and not others. You can't use "useful in redstone" as an excuse or justification for inconsistent and nonsensical behavior.

And yet that has been done for QC.

Figures it wouldn't be handled like a bug is supposed to be.

"if honey and slime are now designed not to stick to one another, then it is inconsistent for sticky pistons (which use slime) to stick to honey blocks"

Explain how anything in that statement indicates that the behavior __is not a bug. This creates a paradox in its behavior, because now slime can stick to honey, but also can't. At the very least an official explanation is due for why a bug causing paradoxical behavior was essentially ignored and no reason was given at all as to how/why that decision was reached.

Sticky pistons also pull regular blocks. The fact that it's honey doesn't matter.

Sorry for the misunderstanding. I shouldn't have tried to be more specific

This is a literal inconsistency in the design itself, completely ignored for no apparent reason. A normal piston on its own cannot pull honey blocks or any other block for that matter, and slime is now intended not to stick to honey blocks. These are the intended designs, yet they just happen to not exist at all in this one case for mere convenience? We're talking about actual behavior that does not work by the very designs that they set in place. This is pure and simply a cop-out. Is it wrong for wanting an official explanation for an inexplicable decision? All I want is transparency and accountability from them. This is not something to be written off as a feature request, that's simply another cop-out to avoid the issue. If there's somewhere more appropriate to ask them directly about the decisions they make here, I would appreciate it.

This is not a discussion forum. Feel free to continue any further objections elsewhere.

I'd recommend one of the sub reddits for further discussion. If you don't want to treat it as a feature request, you can also just go to the general r/Minecraft. You can also use https://feedback.minecraft.net/
