Texture Packs are wacked beyond usability

all custom texture packs have been completely skewed (transparency issues on paintings and windows, single panel textures have been turned upside down, and for example, the chest has been completely skewed with its sides all shifted around and turned inside out.) while the default  Minecraft texture pack is completely fine. This suggests that they messed up the reading of textures on purpose, for no purpose. The only game changing things added in this version are new blocks. The entirety of the way textures are read and applied should not be changed for the sake of five new textures to account for. Undo this. There was no reason this should've been a problem in the first place.
