Villagers keep on hijacking my bed and also hijacking / fighting over other villagers beds.

Yeah that is fine apart from the fact that the villager in question has its own bed and now I have about 5 extra villagers (and increasing) without a bed because at gossip time they are seeing 1 bed free or whatever.
I do not want to end up with a village stocked with hundreds of beds and hundreds of unemployed villagers all fighting over beds.
This bug needs addressing.
If beds = claimed then do not claim
if beds = occupied then do not reproduce
Who said villagers sleeping was a bug? Should villagers claim a bed that has already been claimed? Should villagers reproduce when all beds have been claimed?
I have a similar Problem.
The System of a Vilage cound once per Day how many Beds are in the Vilage.
If it count less Vilager then Beds they create a Child.
This include Beds they cant reach.
Sollution would be, just beds a Villager can reach is counted.
Is the bed under a Trapdoor or in a House with a Fencegate, Trapdoor or Iron door as Door, it will be ignored.
I had to lock the villagers several times in their houses so they use the Bex next to their Workplace and not go to other Houses.
A bed who is locked on a vilager is not longer existing for other vilagers, the same with Work Stations.
An option could be, a vilage count the Beds and remove one bed from that Count (Players Bed).
After all the Ki of nearly all friendly Creatures need a overhaul, so they not act so stupid, as walking on saws or not see fences as wall they cant pass.
You can just right-click on your bed and force the villager to wake up, thus reclaiming your bed back.
