Not sure if this is an in-game bug or what, but I had just optimized my world, and now this strange texture shows up during the night cycle. This texture shows up whenever I face East and only lasts for about 10 or so seconds.
Edit: Added crash report. Also, the texture seems to differ every night.

We do not have enough information to find the cause of this issue.
Please force a crash by pressing F3 + C for 10 seconds while in-game and attach the crash report ([minecraft/crash-reports/crash-<DATE>-client.txt|http://hopper.minecraft.net/help/guides/finding-minecraft-data-folder]) here.
Once attached, the report will be reopened automatically.
