The bug
You can create floating weeping / twisting vines, kelp, or bamboo by instantly breaking and placing a block in the middle of the complete plant. Updating the plant doesn't cause it to break either.
How to reproduce
Place a weeping/twisting vine or bamboo or kelp that goes up/down
Look at anywhere in the middle of the plant and break the vine and replace it in the same tick
Observe the floating plant

Also happens when the vines are broken at the same time as a dispenser bonemeals it.
