[MC-174594] Controls completely resets when switching from 1.8 to a newer version

I find that really annoying as im a pvp player and a survival player, hope this gets fixed 🙂

I have a same problem. When I switch from older version like 1.8 to newest version(1.15.2) auto jump will automatically turn on and some keybinds reset to default. PLEASE MOJANG IF YOU CAN, FIX IT !!!

Downgrading is not supported. Launch older versions in a separate game directory (the launcher lets you specify these), so that each version has its own configuration and you aren't loading the newer configuration on older versions.
