I was trying to hang a pig over lava using a lead, when I attached the pig to the lead, it started going up and down, then I noticed the lead wasn't straight either. And if the bouncing is intentional, then at some points it will be bouncing, then slowing stop. Then out of nowhere maybe ten seconds later it bounces again.

Is this still a concern in the current Minecraft version? If so, please update the affected versions in order to best aid Mojang ensuring bugs are still valid in the latest releases/pre-releases.
That might have to do with the pig trying to path. I remember a while back, everyone was like "Mobs avoid lava!" I'm not sure if that's true anymore, but if it is... Well, no difference. I just tested by hanging one over the void, and it is bouncing around every now and then when it turns. I think it's trying to walk and screwing things up.
Edit: I had changed it to a mooshroom and went to do other things on my test world. As I'm checking other things I might report, I see the cow out in the distance bouncing wildly. If it is it trying to walk as I thought, it'd have to be freaking out. It might be the physics bugging out...
